From the meeting point you will head towards Tarifa (or Algeciras) where you will embark on a Fast Ferry which will take you to the Moroccan city of Tangier (crossing the Strait takes about 45 minutes). During the journey, the guide will inform you upon the programme of the day, the landscapes and the towns you will see on the way and will help you to complete the formalities for crossing the border.
Upon arrival in Tangier a coach and a local guide will be waiting for you at the harbour and will join you on a sightseeing tour through the modern part of Tangier where you will see, among others, the Residence of the Governor, the Summer Residence of the King, the camels, etc. After the sightseeing tour, you will start the visit of the historic centre of Tangier on foot. You iwll visit interesting places like the Kasbah, the Medina, the Souk, etc.
After the visit you will be accompaigned to a typical Moroccan restaurant where you will be able to taste the exotic Moroccan food (beverages not included). After lunch, if the itinerary of the trip permits it, you will have the opportunity to visit a typical bazaar where you can see how traditional Moroccan carpets are made, as well as traditional slippers, djellabas, leather objects typical Moroccan handicraft. Afterwards, you will also visit a Barbary Pharmacy, also called a spice shop, where the locals will show you the natural cosmetic products and the spices they use in Moroccan cuisine.
After the visit you will be taken back to the port by coach and then back to the Costa del Sol.
